Quilt As you Go - Coastal Quilters

I had fun weekend teaching two Quilt as You Go classes for Coastal Quilters in Plimmerton, New Zealand.

For those of you booked to attend my future classes, these blocks made may help you with your fabric selections.

Now for something a little different - Alison has made this amazing sewing machine cover.
Check it out:
The back. The draw bridge is actually a pocket containing her
rotary cutter and scissors
The front
Pin cushion Well.  Is removable and attaches to her sewing machine.

The Turret

Contains a tin with pins another sewing notions.

This is Alison's own design.  Very clever
and unique.

12th May - A wee update.  Alison had turned her QAYG blocks into a hexagon baby quilt.

  1. I love your color choices for your stars. I am an appliquer and do not have the piecing skill that some of you have. Mine never "measure up" literally speaking. Though your stars inspire me to try some more. The stars are diagonal log cabin design basically.
    Very Nice!
